I'm curious about how these honors are done. I --- that the voters are coaches from various schools around the country, and I mean this is an inoccent question, I'm not suggesting any regional issues or questioning the merits of the awardees (congratulations to all).
It would be relatively easy for a NY area coach to compare players within the YL or for a California coach to compare LA based players. But how can a NY coach for example rate an LA player who he may never see (we know that many schools are not able to travel cross country to tournaments), or how can a midwest coach, if he isn't part of Saricheck, rate the players from the east? Obviously this is not like colleges/pros who are on TV or who exchange game films.
