Bryan Knapp scored 29 points, Nadav Kalender added 20 and Danny Zweben had 12 as the Lions (23-3) won their 19th straight game to reach the PVAC championship game.

Shalhevet 58 Mary Star 43

The Firehawks (28-9) led by only two after the third quarter but pulled away in the fourth to reach the CIFSS Division 4A final. Eitan Halpert had 23 points and 12 rebounds, Edan Sokol added 12 and Zach Muller scored 9 two days after separating his shoulder. Much of the credit for the win goes to the defense of Sammy Eillenhorn, who held Mary Star's top player Josh Octave to just 12 points, half his average.

Trinity Christian 68 JCHS San Francisco 66

In the second round of the CIFCCS Div 5 playoffs, the 11th seeded Wolves (14-9) rallied from 14 down in the first half to lead by two after three quarters but could not pull off the upset of the #6 seed. Jordan Kimel scored 22 points in his final high school game.

Pinewood 67 Kehillah Jewish 19

Unseeded Rams (9-11) were fresh off first-ever sectional win but knocking off the #5 seed was too much to ask.


Opening Round

Rambam 44 HANC 43

Daniel Petrikovsky and Noah Aaron each scored 13 points as the Ravens (17-9) rallied from a 14-point 2nd half deficit to reach the quarterfinals for the first time in years. Their next opponent depends on Flatbush-HAFTR game Monday. If Flatbush wins, Rambam travels to Heschel. If HAFTR wins, Rambam plays at Frisch. Hurricanes ended the season at 18-11.

SAR 59 Kushner 40

Flurry late in 2nd quarter gave Sting (16-4) a 9-point halftime lead and the Cobras (10-13) could not get closer. Dovie Marcus scored 18 points, Hank Stein added 15 and Daniel Wisotsky had 13 to pace SAR. Sam Bernstein led Kushner with 16 points. SAR will face DRS in the quarterfinals.

MTA 23 TABC 22

A Yehuda Colton layup gave the Lions (13-7) the lead with under :20 left and the Storm (11-7) never got another shot off. MTA will play YDE in the quarterfinals.
