Junior Elite Page
Junior Elite began in 2005 with 25 boys entering the 7th and 8th grade. Due to the outstanding feedback from this program, Junior Elite has expanded and taken in more players beginning Summer 2006. The 7th and 8th grade division will is open to any serious players of that age. These programs will NOT be invite-only.

The focus of these programs is strictly on fundamentals of the game and player development. The Junior Elite programs look to concetrate on individual player skills, an area that does not see much time in a Yeshiva League practice schedule. With a player-to-coach ratio of approximately five-to-one, there is a great amount of personal attention. Players will be participating in multiple clinics and station drills along with guest lectures by college and high school coaches. The players will also compete in an intramural league and playoff along with various skills competitions and tournaments.

Junior Elite's excellent coaching staff includes former Yeshiva University players, Yeshiva League Coaches and past Yeshiva League varsity stars. Guest clinics are given by College Coaches, Yeshiva League Coaches and past Yeshiva University and other College Players.

Some of our past guests include: Dave Hopla, Professional Shooting Instructor; Jonathan Halpert, Head Coach, Yeshiva University; Steve Podias, Head Coach, Brooklyn College; Floyd Bank, Head Coach, DRS, Member of the NY High School Hall of Fame; Jody King, former YU Assistant Coach and NY High School Coach, currently Assistant Coach, Farmingdale State University; Thomas ("Tippy") McTernan, Co-founder Bedford YMCA, Personal Coach; Quincy Douby, Player, Sacramento Kings; Kenny Harris, Former Player, Hofstra University.

We have already begun working on this summer's guests and are looking forward to having another week of fascinating basketball clinics for Junior Elite players.
