Josh Levieddin had 16 points and 16 rebounds as the 5th seeded Cougars (15-7) rallied from eight down late in the third quarter to beat the #4 seeded Lions in the quarterfinals of the Potomac Valley Athletic Conference tournament. Ezra Beletskiy hit a game tying 3-pointer in the final minute of regulation and the Cougars gave up no points in overtime until the final 30 seconds. It was HA's first win at JDS in 17 years. The loss snapped a 4-game win streak for the defending league champion Lions, who finished the season 14-11. The rivals had split their two games during the regular season. The Cougars now face undefeated top seed Sandy Spring in the semifinals.

The 4th seeded Lions (11-9) led the top seed 42-31 but were outscored 23-4 over the final six minutes in the semifinals of the Section 1 Class C tournament. Jared Scheff scored 13 points and Gilad Amir added 11.
