YESHIVA LEAGUE
North Shore H.A. 43 DRS 42 OT
Ben Abizadeh’s putback with :17 left gave him a triple double as the #16 Lions (7-7; 14-16) beat the #17 Wildcats (7-7; 13-10) for the second time in five days to take the #4 seed in the East. Their reward? A third straight game against #5 DRS will be at home. Jordan Zarka led the Lions with 17 points, 15 rebounds; Abizadeh had 10 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 blocks; and Jonah Carmilli scored 10 points.
Heschel 38 JEC 35
Nothing was decided by this result other than it allowed SAR to clinch a playoff spot and JEC (6-7; 9-16) can finish no higher than 6th. Heschel had already secured the #4 seed in the West. But it remains up in the air who their opening round opponent will be or who the #6 seed will be that #3 Frisch plays. If Ohr Yisroel beats Hillel in its final game, the Flames will finish 5th and JEC will be eliminated. If JEC beats Waterbury and Ohr Yisroel loses, SAR moves up to 5th, JEC takes 6th and Ohr Yisroel would be out.
Waterbury 66 Rambam 29
The Wolfpack (5-8; 6-10) clinched the final playoff spot in the East, eliminating YDE. The Ravens finished the season 1-13.
Hillel 62 MTA 52
In one of the few remaining games with no playoff implications, the Heat (5-8; 7-13) relied on 25 points from Eli Braha and 18 from Joey Kassin. The Lions ended the regular season 2-12, 3-15 overall.
